In Franco Indian, Expansion of Union for Sales Officers Too |
More than 100 dismissed field workers reinstated After protracted informal discussion, CITU’s letters to labour and other ministries of Government of India and Adcock management’s assurances before the labour commissioners of Karnataka, West Bengal and Andhra Pradesh; instead of straight job transfer from Cosme Farma to Adcock, it was mutually agreed that Adcock management would take in service all Cosme Farma field workers except those who settled their accounts and who retired, on the basis of individual application. The bargained hard application ensured their jobs
as sales promotion employees irrespective of designations protecting their service seniority and conditions without prejudice to their rights.....

In contravention to the notification issued by the Medical Council of India (MCI) on 10 December, 2009 and against their old rhetoric, the Department of Pharmaceutical (DoP) under the Union Ministry of Chemicals and Fer tilizers is now proposing an amendment to the Code of Conduct for doctors and professional association of doctors by allowing pharmaceutical companies to sponsor their continued medical education programmes that are conducted “professionally and ethically” to “ensure” that doctors stay “in tune with all medical advancements” and had written to the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, asking them to consider the proposed change. The news has come following a reply by the DoP under Right to Information (RTI)..... |
Defend National Drug Sector, Uphold India’s Sovereignty Indian drug industry is under attack. US administration is using its Food & Drug Administration (FDA) to create barrier to prevent Indian companies to export cheaper medicines, manufactured in India to USA. The plea taken is that Indian medicines are sub-standard. FDA issued notices to major Indian drug exporters - Ranbaxy, Wockhardt, Cipla, Lupin, Dr. Reddy’s and others. The question is raised why Indian (?) company Ranbaxy accepted guilt of falsifying data as was accused by FDA. On 14 May, 2013, Ranbaxy pleaded guilty to drug safety charges by FDA and agreed to pay $500 million to settle criminal and civil charges against it in USA..... |
